Guest Author Jeanne Bannon

Today, I welcome author Jeanne Bannon to the Realm. Jeanne is stopping by on her Summer Fun Tour to discuss one of her favorite summer acitivities: Going to the movies.  Tak it away, Jeanne!

Movie Time!
This summer has been packed with excellent movies. I have been trying to get to the movies and watch a few of the summer's blockbusters. What is the best movie you have watched this summer and what is the worst movie you have watched this summer. They can't all be blockbusters :)
I enjoy going to a movie but the most upsetting thing when I go to a movie is having the people behind me talking the entire time I'm trying to watch the movie. Movies are not cheap anymore. After you pay to get in and then get a drink and some popcorn it adds up quickly. Has that ever happened to you? Have you been watching a movie and had the people behind you talk through it all? How did you handle it?

Feel free to discuss Jeanne's questions with her in the comments section below. And make sure to check out Jeanne's book, "Invisible."

Lola’s not pretty. Lola’s not popular. Lola wishes she could disappear … and then one day she does just that...

For seventeen-year-old Lola Savullo, life is a struggle. Born to funky parents who are more in than she could ever be, Lola’s dream of becoming a writer makes her an outsider even in her own home. Bullied and despised, Lola still has the support of her best pal Charlie and Grandma Rose.

Not only is she freakishly tall, Lola’s a big girl and when forced to wear a bathing suit at her summer job as a camp counselor, Lola’s only escape from deep embarrassment seems to be to literally vanish. Soon after, she discovers the roots of her new “ability”.

Slowly, with Charlie’s help, Lola learns to control the new super power. The possibilities are endless. Yet power can be abused, too…

Then, when tragedy strikes, Lola must summon her inner strength, both at home and at school. She has to stand up for herself, despite the temptations and possibilities of her newfound super power.

A coming-of-age story that will warm the heart.

  1. Hi Jeanne. To answer the question about rude talkers, I actually have been there and my hubby was with me. Well, they stopped talking all right, but I can never show my face in that theater again as he embarrassed me to no end - LOL!

Folks, I have read this story and it is one you will want! Great book!

  2. I enjoyed Brave and the Batman movie this summer. Also, Magic Mike! Haven't had the "talkers" problem in a while, thank heavens.
"Invisible" is a great read. I hope you buy a copy; you won't regret it.
