Sweet Saturday Samples

Welcome to another edition of Sweet Saturday Samples! Today, I bring you another sample from my latest novel "Nature's Unbalance," the second in THE CHOSEN series. Enjoy!

As it turned out, they didn’t have to wait long. Several minutes later, they heard screams from the direction from which they had just come.

"Go! Now!" Striker commanded.

They grabbed their gear and ran back toward Nature. As they got closer, they saw her surrounded by the same cloud of dust and debris again, with the ‘presence’ hovering over her, trying to end her life once and for all. The Chosen quickly surrounded it, separating as they had before: Striker rushed to Nature’s side as Silvor and Lumina placed themselves across from them on the opposite side of the ‘presence.’ Red and Kaidyla took up positions on the third side, while Sampson and Delilah covered the fourth side again, causing more of a distraction. The ‘presence’ was now completely encircled. Halli stood back a bit from all of them and threw her heals, one immediately after another.

Once again, the ‘presence’ became confused as it tried to go after all three powers of nature that now surrounded it. Everyone was able to attack it more easily in its confused state, and it slowly started to weaken. This time, they didn’t stop attacking it once it was down. Halli threw a healing spell at Nature, which allowed her to escape the cloud engulfing her for the second time.

"Nature's Unbalance" is available from Solstice Publishing for the Kindle, Nook, and in print.

Overview
